| Find data for an
account Lookup |
You need 2 bits of data from an account
for the Wizard to lookup. |
| |
An account with
more than 1 unit is best so you can see the Wizard extract data for
all account units. Only 2 of the 4 fields are required, just as in
the account search screen on the WINSS Account Lookup Tool that you
are familiar with. |
| |
You may use any 2
of the 4 fields. For example, you may enter the PTN and account
numbers (BAN). The DC field requires the *'s. |
| Prepare the
Wizard with Upgrade Hardware info |
On the lower left in the “150 Upgrade”
section, enter the model number and price for a phone that you
often upgrade customers to. This will allow the Wizard to
pre-populate 150 rebate eligible units with the model number and
price information. This will enable the calculation of final
upgrade cost for your customers. |
Perform All Unit
Account Lookup |
Click the “Lookup All” button below the fields. The Wizard will
perform a lookup for the first unit and verify the quantity of
units on the account. |
| |
If there are less than 10 units on this
account, it will lookup all of the units. If there are more than 10
units, the Wizard will display the Account Lookup Controls Menu.
This menu offers control over lookup functions. It allows you to
select individual area codes in the account and it displays the
quantity of units in each area code. |
| |
It
takes about 2-3 seconds per unit to extract and store all customer
account and rebate data to your Wizard database.
(say with enthusiasm) Compare that
to doing it manually! The Wizard will then display extracted
account unit information in a spreadsheet. All extracted data is
stored in your Wizard Database. The Wizard is like an electronic
employee. The Wizard performs the same functions as your employee
would if they did it manually. It just does so inhumanly fast,
without human effort or errors. |

Wizard Proposal
Worksheet
- Detailed Descriptions |
Do you see the
spreadsheet? Click in the spreadsheet to bring it to the top. See
the list of PTN’s down the left side? To the right of each PTN, you
will see the dates each unit is eligible for the 75 and 150
rebates. In the next column, under the “Rebate $" heading, you will
see the current rebate amount for each unit. No need for you to
look at dates, just the rebate value! Eligibility date calculations
are automated for you by the Wizard. |
|
Are any of the units
eligible
for the 150 rebate? |
If No
Click into a field under
the, “Rebate" heading in a unit and change the rebate amount to 150
for demo purposes. Just want to show you how the math in the
spreadsheet works. Also plug in a model number under the Equip
heading and 329 in the SRP column. This is what you would see when
a unit is eligible. |
| |
You
can use the next field under the, “Adjust Heading” to adjust the
unit cost up or down. Enter an activation fee with a positive value
or discount amount using a negative value. This adjusts the amount
charged to the customer for each upgrade. See how the math works at
the bottom of the sheet? Simply repeat this procedure for all units
you propose to upgrade. You may then print or email (click
'File-Send by email') the sheet to the customer as a
proposal. You may change any of the data on the customer worksheet
as you wish and use it to make notes when you call. |
| |
See
the account name at the top of the spread sheet. The spreadsheet
is saved automatically using the account name and unit quantity.
All extracted data is added to your database. The Wizard
automatically updates all customer information as required and
alerts you when customers are eligible for upgrade rebates. The
spreadsheets are not required to retain data – only to analyze
accounts and assist during upgrade procedures. The Wizard database
is your source of leads. |
|
Approve Line Count |
In
the upper right area of the spreadsheet, you will see the unit
quantity count. Just below this, the approved line count informs
you of the quantity of units they’re eligible for without doing a
credit check |
|
Eligibility Counts |
In
the upper right area of the spreadsheet, there are numbers for ‘T1’
and ‘T2”.
T1 equals the quantity of units eligible for a 75 rebate.
T2 equals the quantity of units eligible for a 150 rebate. |
|
Office Code |
These bar code numbers will appear for each unit in the spreadsheet
extracted from the Rebates.com eligibility lookup web site. To
assist in carrier payments. See down the right side under the
“Office Code” heading. |
|
Plans and feature
lists for account units |
Do
you see the blue link at the bottom of the sheet? Click the word
‘Click’ (column B) in the BLUE text. The Wizard will display a web
page that lists all service plans and features for each unit. Do
you see this page |
|
Rebate Eligibility
Pages (proof of eligibility) |
The
wizard also captures the actual web pages that display the rebate
eligibility dates for EACH UNIT. All these eligibility pages will
be saved into HTML file(s) and stored in your computer. Do you see
the blue link at the top of the services page? Click this link.
|
| |
There is an icon for each eligible unit displaying each eligible
data. This can be very useful as it may be printed months down the
road to assist in eligibility disputes with the carrier. To view or
print stored eligibility page images for all units, double click
the link at the top of the services page. |
| |
Click the blue link
at the top of the Service Page. Your browser will open and you will
see the first unit. Scroll down to see all other units. Print and
you have your proof of eligibility! |
|
IF ‘No
rebate links found’.. (If text begins w/No Link Found):
As you know,
there are 3 different ways that rebate eligibility is made
available on the INC Web site.
1.
The
“Check Rebate Eligibility” link for iDEN units.
2.
The
“sprint.com/rebates” link for CDMA units
3.
Actual dates that appear in the field where these links may be
found. (mostly for larger corporate/business accounts)

Wizard Spreadsheet
/ Proposal Management System |
The Wireless
Marketing Wizard spreadsheet management system facilitates the
tracking of multiple upgrade proposals. |
| |
Close the eligibility web pages and the Spreadsheet and Exit Excel. |
| The
Active Sheet List |
In
the Wizard Menu, do you see the name of the account we just ran in
the active worksheet list? (large white
box) This is called the Active Worksheet List. It will
contain a list of account worksheet proposals you are currently
working on. It is important that you remove sheets from this list
when you are done with them to keep the list from getting filled
with outdated information. This makes it easy to find accounts that
require attention. This prevents the list from getting clogged with
old information and that can make it difficult to find accounts you
are currently focused on. |
| |
The
spreadsheets are intended for proposing and performing upgrades.
The database stores all customer information and tracks rebate
dates and the database will tell you when customers are eligible.
Even if you archive all spreadsheets the database is unaffected.
Once an upgrade is done or you’re not going to propose it, or
you’re not going to do it yet, it is no longer active and the
spreadsheet should only contain active worksheets. You can always
open the archive sheets with the “Open Archive” button up in the
right corner. This is useful to recall eligibility proof pages to
assist in commission payment disputes. All of the spreadsheets,
service plans, and eligibility verification pages are automatically
stored on your machines. |
| Active Sheet List
Functions |
Click on the sheet name in the Active Account list. Above the list,
you will see 2 buttons appear. The blue “Open Selected Worksheet”
button does what is says, don’t click it now. The green ‘Send to
Archive Folder’ button is used to remove sheets from the Active
Sheet list when you are done with the account. |
| |
The Archive function removes spreadsheets from the Active
Sheet list.
It is important that you Archive Worksheets to prevent the Active
Sheet list from getting too long. :
1.
You have completed upgrade procedures
2.
You do not wish to call this customer as there are few or
too few eligible units at this time.
3.
The customer has decided not to upgrade at this time.
The Archive function moves stored data files to an archive folder
stored on your hard drive. The sheet name will disappear from the
Active Sheet list but may be recalled using the ‘Open Archive File’
button. This can be useful to recall a sheet when you want to print
the original Eligibility pages for a carrier to prove what the site
said when you originally looked it up.
Tracking archived sheets is not required. All data is stored
in the Wizard database. No need to look at old sheets for
information unless you wish to print original rebate pages for an
account. |
